Colombo, 9 September 2026 – GAC has officially opened its new Union Place showroom in Colombo, marking its third showroom in Sri Lanka and its first fully-fledged 3S facility, bringing Sales, Service and Genuine Spare Parts together under one roof.
Located at No. 257, Dr Colvin R. De Silva Mawatha, Colombo 02, the new facility marks another major step for GAC just over a year after entering the Sri Lankan market in June 2025. Since then, the brand has built a growing presence with a lineup focused on technology, practicality and modern mobility.
The range is led by the AION V, which has emerged as GAC’s standout performer locally, while the AION Y and AION UT offer practical electric mobility for families, professionals and everyday city driving. The GAC E9 adds a premium plug-in hybrid option, combining executive comfort with advanced technology.
The Union Place opening also introduced the GAC EMKOO to Sri Lanka. The bold petrol-powered SUV expands GAC’s portfolio beyond its electric range, combining striking design, performance and advanced technology for customers seeking a different driving experience.
A True 3S Experience
What sets Union Place apart is its complete 3S setup, allowing customers to access vehicle sales, authorised servicing and Genuine Spare Parts at one location. The service centre provides access to trained technicians and manufacturer-backed support, while the Genuine Spare Parts counter adds further confidence to long-term ownership.
The showroom brings GAC’s expanding portfolio together in one space, giving visitors the opportunity to experience the AION range, the executive E9 and the newly introduced EMKOO, while also providing access to after-sales support.
With its third showroom and first complete 3S facility, GAC continues to strengthen its presence in Sri Lanka. The Union Place opening and introduction of the EMKOO mark another important chapter in the brand’s journey as it continues to expand its range and customer support network.
The GAC Union Place 3S showroom is now open at No. 257, Dr Colvin R. De Silva Mawatha, Colombo 02.
